Nippon Open 2008, Japan

The 2008 Nippon Open is set to take place from 26 February through to 2 March at Fukushima, ALTS Bandai in Japan. During the Nippon Open’s 14-year history, it has become Japan’s largest snowboarding event and has become established as a key event on the world’s snowboarding calendar. More than 200 amateur and professional snowboard riders from around the world will do battle to become the 2008 Nippon Open champion.

12th Annual Bear Valley Telemark Festival

The 12th Annual Bear Valley Telemark Festival is set to take place from 8 to 10 February 2008 in the small alpine ski town of Bear Valley in the Central Sierra Nevada, California. U.S. Extreme Freeskiing Championships

The 17th annual U.S. Extreme Freeskiing Championships is set to take place from 19 to 23 February 2008 at Crested Butte Mountain Resort in Colorado. Crested Butte Mountain Resort was the first in the U.S. to host an extreme snow skiing contest, and seventeen years later the competition has become an established and popular event in the U.S. snow skiing calendar.
