Whitetail Resort Upgrades for 2008/2009 Season

Situated in south-central Pennsylvania, about a 90 minute drive from Baltimore and D.C., Whitetail Resort offers superb snow skiing and snowboarding facilities. Although Whitetail is one of America’s youngest ski resorts, it offers even the most experienced skiers a challenge, while ensuring that beginners and intermediate skiers are well taken care of. In line with the resort’s commitment to give skiers what they want, Whitetail will be undertaking a number of upgrade projects during the 2008 summer season in preparation for the 2008/2009 snow skiing season.

Eldora Special Recreation Program

In 1975, the Eldora Special Recreation Program was established at the Eldora Mountain Resort, and started with only ten students from the University of Colorado. Last year the program had more than a hundred and forty students, of which some come back each year to join in the fun and to improve their skiing and snowboarding skills. The Eldora Special Recreation Program gives people who are mentally challenged and who have physical disabilities the opportunity to enjoy the breathtaking slopes of the mountains, just like any other able-bodied person would.
