Indoor Ski Resort in Israel

Some might be surprised to hear, but skiing is a favorite past time for many in Israel. Obergurgl – The Perfect Family Vacation Destination

The picturesque town of Obergurgl is, at a height of 1930 meters, the highest resort town in Austria. It was put into the spotlight in the year 1931, during the balloon flight of Auguste Piccard, but with a permanent population of approximately four hundred residents, Obergurgl is mostly a town that welcomes foreign visitors and skiing enthusiasts to its slopes. U.S. Cross Country Championships 2009/2010

Kincaid Park is located amongst breathtaking hills in Anchorage, Alaska. It is a park that is known for its magnificent hiking trails, festivals and most importantly, twenty miles of spectacular cross country skiing. It is therefore no surprise that it won the bid to host the U.S. Cross Country Championships for 2009 and 2010. The announcement was welcomed with great excitement from the locals in Anchorage and especially the skiing community based here.

Not many skiers have the financial ability to jet off around the world so as to train all year round. It is a challenge for ordinary people, who do not have the luxury of sponsorship or riches, to remain fit during the off season and therefore many skiers are turning to the use roller skis. Roller skis enable skiers to remain fit and in training anywhere in the world. As with many pieces of equipment, there are just as many skiing enthusiasts who praise roller skis, as there are skiers who do not believe in these alternative training methods.
