U.S. Cross Country Championships 2009/2010
Kincaid Park is located amongst breathtaking hills in Anchorage, Alaska. It is a park that is known for its magnificent hiking trails, festivals and most importantly, twenty miles of spectacular cross country skiing. It is therefore no surprise that it won the bid to host the U.S. Cross Country Championships for 2009 and 2010. The announcement was welcomed with great excitement from the locals in Anchorage and especially the skiing community based here.
Snow Skiing in Alaska
Alaska’s long, cold winters make it a winter wonderland for snow skiers. Most communities here have incredible networks of cross-country ski trails, often running right through downtown. And backcountry skiing options are almost limitless. Head out for the day, or rent a wilderness cabin for an adventurous overnight trip.
