Volvo Snowbombing is a fun-filled festival that combines exceptional skiing and snowboarding with unforgettable parties. Attracting top bands and DJs to Mayrhofen, 2011 will be the 12th running of this top festival.

The music lineup for Snowbombing 2011 will include The Prodigy, Fat Boy Slim, Pendulum, Sub Focus, Magnetic Man, Professor Green, Chase and Status, Ms Dynamite, The Sunshine Underground and many many others. Complimenting the music is the stunning alpine peaks, pine forests and nightclub made of snow. The area offers skiers and boarders 625 km of pistes, as well as a top-class terrain park.

The Big Snow Festival 2011

The Big Snow Festival combines skiing, snowboarding and music in Andorra, making it one of the coolest festivals for 2011. The Freeze Festival 2010

The Freeze Festival will be hosted from the 29th to the 31st of October, at the Battersea Power Station in London, and is an event that offers non-stop entertainment and sporting action. Not only will the festival be host to the International Freestyle Ski and the LG FIS Snowboard World Cup, but will give locals the chance to show off their skills on the snow in the Battle of Britain. There will also be a main stage for music performances, as well as an energy stage, retail village and Apres Ski bars.

Queenstown Winter Festival 2010

For ten days, Queenstown will be hosting their annual Queenstown Winter Festival, which takes place from 25 June to 4 July 2010. Harbin Ice and Snow Festival 2010

For one of the biggest snow and ice sculpture festivals in the world, head to the Harbin Ice and Snow Festival 2010, this kicked off on the 5th of January and continues through to an undetermined date in February. Here festival goers will be able to marvel at a host of ice structures and detailed sculptures, and at night, their magnificence is illuminated by a light display. The festival was inaugurated in 1985 and has grown to incorporate many other activities such as boxing tournaments, fishing competitions, tea gardens, winter sport trade fair, skiing tours and dance tournaments.
