Killington Gets Set For Its 50th Birthday Bash
Vermont’s Killington Resort will be celebrating half a century of service to the snow skiing community with a host of fun-filled family-oriented activities on December 12-14. To make the weekend even more enjoyable, Killington is offering 50th birthday medallions at a cost of $50 each which will give medallion holders unlimited skiing and riding on December 13-14. These commemorative medallions will make holders eligible for a variety of discounts on products and services offered by Killington Chamber of Commerce members, as well as preferential lift access and other benefits at the resort.
Killington Celebrates 50 Years with Upgrades
Located in central Vermont, Killington Resort stretches across seven mountain areas, including renowned Pico Mountain. Killington is the largest resort in the northeast and offers snow sport enthusiasts access to 200 trails over diverse terrain, as well as the highest lift-served snow skiing and snowboarding in Vermont – Killington Peak at 4,241 feet. To celebrate 50 years of service to the snow skiing community and to ensure that it maintains its hard-earned reputation for excellence, Killington Resort is planning to spend $8.4 million in on-mountain improvements ahead of the 2008-2009 ski season.
