Incredibly scenic and offering a large number of trails, the Red River Ski Area is a great place to go for a winter vacation. The resort is situated amidst the Sangre de Cristo mountain range and you will discover that the resort village is surrounded by the lush greenery of the Carson National Forest.

With a summit elevation of 10 350 ft, you should expect excellent skiing and the Red River Ski Area certainly doesn’t disappoint. The trails are accessed by seven different lifts and are generally open for skiing and snowboarding between November and March each year. There is a great terrain park available for all the snowboarders.

There is plenty of accommodation nearby the ski area – you simply need to choose which one suits you best. You’ll also find great places to eat or enjoy drink in the town of Red River. Other facilities include ski shops, a ski school offering a variety of instruction, equipment rental services, child care services and a great children’s program for 4 to 5 year-olds or 6 to 10 year-olds.
