Steamboat Springs is a small city in Routt County, Colorado. American Skiing Co. was at one time a prominent player in the snow skiing world, with holding interests in numerous ski resorts. However, the company will be dissolved following the sale of its final resort, The Canyons Resort near Salt Lake City. A subsidiary of the Toronto-based ski resort operator Talisker Corp, has reportedly paid an amount of R123 million to take over ownership of The Canyons Resort.
