Alex Bilodeau takes top honors
Mogul skiing has been around for many years. It is a form of skiing that tests the skills of athletes and their abilities. This form of skiing falls under freestyle skiing, and requires athletes to move through various moguls that are on the slopes. Moguls can best be described as bumps that are formed on the slope and forces skiers to execute sharp turns and technical moves to avoid them. Some are formed naturally, while others can be formed and grow bigger as one skier after the next follows the same path.

Lindsey Vonn Aims for World Cup Overall Title
With ten World Cup victories under her belt for downhill, Lyndsey Vonn of Vail, Colorado, was more surprised than most that her first victory for the 2008-2009 skiing season was for slalom. She claimed this victory in Finland on 15 November 2008, bringing her World Cup victories to a total of fourteen. At Aspen this past weekend (29-30 November) Vonn placed fourth in both slalom and grand slalom events, which is quite an achievement considering this gutsy skier was on crutches nursing a badly bruised left knee a few days prior to the Aspen weekend.

Lindsey Vonn’s Dedication to Skiing Pays Off
It is well known that athletes combine raw natural talent with plenty of hard work. The same can be said for Lindsey Vonn, born Lindsey Kildow on 18 October 1984. Lindsey has a passion for skiing and the determination to be the best skiing athlete of our time. Her magnificent performances on the snow have gained her a faithful following, but it was her most recent achievement, winning the overall Audi FIS World Cup, that has skyrocketed her into instant stardom and is seen as only a glimpse of what is to come.
