Mt Washington Ski Resort is situated at the heart of Vancouver Island. It offers great facilities for skiers and boarders and a tubing hill for the young at heart. Mt Washington has a summit elevation of 5215 ft and a vertical drop of 1657 ft. It enjoys 348 inches of annual snowfall and its longest run is a staggering 13 200 ft. Besides this there is 40 km of cross country trail to enjoy. For the freestylers among us, there are two terrain parks and a halfpipe to enjoy. Some 20% of the trail is rated ‘beginner’, 10% is rated ‘expert’ and the remaining 70% is equally divided into intermediate and advanced trails. For those looking for a new kind of thrill, there is a 300m natural luge track available.

The resort offers child care facilities for those with youngsters, as well as skiing and snowboarding lessons and rentals.
