Granlibakken Ski Resort, located just above Lake Tahoe, is an intimate resort with excellent accommodation. The Granlibakken Resort Conference Center is renowned for hosting many events. Opened in 1947 by Kjell “Rusty” Rustad of Norway, the name Granlibakken means “hill sheltered by fir trees”. The rental shop will provide you with all the equipment you need to take advantage of the stunning white slopes, while the Skiing School makes learning fun on a quiet hillsode. A rope tow will carry you to the top of the slope from where you can glide down to the bottom, and you can take a break at the warming hut or snack bar in between runs. Cross-country skiing as well as snowshoeing are also popular at Granlibakken. The Snowplay Area provides children with endless hours of fun.
