Otis Ridge

Otis Ridge, situated in western Massachusetts at the Berkshires, is a lovely intimate family ski area with all the necessary facilities. Founded in 1947, Otis ridge is well-known for its long running ski camp, and boasts a diverse terrain, particularly ideal for beginners but also popular with more experienced skiers.

Otis Ridge opens up some 60 acres of ski area to both skiers and snowboarders who can choose from 11 runs. Gliding down the 400 foot vertical, the scenery is nothing short of breath-taking. Otis Ridge has 100% snow making capability, which means you are always sure to have great ski conditions in season. Ideal for all ability levels, the terrain has been categorized as 30% beginner, 40% intermediate and 30% advanced. New-comers can gently slide across the ends of the ridge whilst experienced skiers will enjoy the challenge of the Slalom run over the headwall. Climb aboard one of the 5 lifts and you are quickly transported up the white snow shrouded slopes to begin your ski adventure. When the sun sets at Otis Ridge, the good times continue with lighted runs for night skiing.

Otis Ridge’s ski camp is aimed at children between 8 and 15 years of age. Not only do they learn the ins and outs of skiing but they also have a great time associating with other young ones whilst engaging in a number of activities.

Although it is a relatively small ski area, Otis Ridge has excellent facilities for the convenience of its visitors. The fantastic ski shop has an array of equipment to purchase or rent. Grab something to munch on at the snack bar or sit down for a meal at Grouse House. Accommodation is available nearby at establishments such as Gale House B&B, Ashley Inn B&B, Applegate Inn, Thornewood Inn, Red Lion Inn, Hawk Mountain Lodge and others. During summer there are many recreational activities in Otis.
