Echo Valley is marketed as a great family-orientated ski resort where you’ll be able to find terrain for every level skier. It’s a small resort which is situated in the Sawtooth wilderness next to the Chelan Mountains. This privately owned, non-profit resort is a great place to spend some family time – especially if you’ll be visiting during the area during the winter months.
The resort has a 1400 ft vertical drop, eight trails and four lifts. The trails are graded 25% beginner, 50% intermediate and 25% advanced. Since the resort is run mainly by volunteers and locals, operation and services can vary from year to year but generally they are quite good. In addition to the ski trails there are up to 35 kilometers of cross-country trails at Echo Ridge. Snow tubing is provided as a fun alternative to this legendary sport. You will also find that although there is no terrain park, snowboarders are permitted on the majority of the skiing trails. You will also find snowmobiling available in the Snow Park, not too far away from the skiing action.
The resort has a rental shop where you can get the necessary skiing and snowboarding equipment to enjoy yourself on the slopes. Lessons are available but there are no programs catering to children or women and there are no childcare services available. There is plenty of nearby lodging for you to choose from and you will find great restaurants in the nearest town. Echo Valley Resort is open between December and March each year,on weekends and public holidays. If you’re going to be in the area during this period, your may want to include a visit to this great little resort.
