Pine Creek

Pine Creek Ski Resort is considered by many to be one of Wyoming’s best kept secrets. Located in southwest Wyoming, seven miles east of Cokeville in the southwest part of the state, it lies in the Tunp Mountain Range. The summit of Pine Creeks offers unmatched views to the north of the Wind River Mountains, the highest range in the state.

With 1450 vertical feet, 30 runs covered in great powder, and differing in degrees of difficulty suitable for beginners through to experts, Pine Creek Ski Resort is the place for the whole family to enjoy fun-filled days of snow sports together. It has a high-speed quad lift and very short lines so you can get the maximum out of your day.

A lodge at the resort offers rooms for weekenders and boasts of lip-smacking, made to order home-cooked food. Enjoy hot homemade soup and chili at the snack bar while you warm up in front of the blaze of the open fireplace, savoring the nostalgia of pine. The lodge offers an excellent breakfast with delicious sourdough pancakes, fresh eggs and special seasoned sausage. Relish hand-cut French fries and hand-pressed hamburger patties served on a home-baked bun as a refreshing change.

The lodge also has a convenient retail shop that offers name-brand skis, snowboards, bindings, helmets, goggles, outerwear and boots. You can even avail yourself of their board and ski equipment maintenance services at Josh and Scott, and rent high performance equipment as well as basic ski and board packages, boots, poles, and twins.

Pine Creek‘s main attractions are its range of terrain, lack of crowds, enjoyable indoor dining, reasonable rates, and fast friendly service. Pine Creek is open from Friday through Sunday and on holidays. It is a good way to spend a weekend for skiing and snowboarding enthusiasts who have little time to spare but want to make the most of the vacation break.
