Beaver Creek

Beaver Creek Resort is truly one of Colorado’s finest. With a great combination of luxury, convenience and truly breathtaking slopes, Beaver Creek is one of the state’s top resorts. It enjoys an average of 300 days of sunshine and 310 inches of annual snowfall, which combine to create some awesome skiing conditions. The resort’s summit elevation is 11 440 ft and it has a vertical drop of 4 040 ft.

Perhaps one of the resort’s most outstanding features is that of its stunning variety of trails. Skiers can choose from an impressive 146 trails that are spread out over 1 625 acres of land and covered by 16 ski lifts. Some 50% of these trails enjoy continual grooming, while 37% have snowmaking capabilities that always ensure a great ride. With trail names like Goshawk, Golden Eagle, Bald Eagle, Falcon Park and Screech Owl, it isn’t difficult to understand why the Talons Ski Area draws gasps and glares from both skiers and spectators. The trails are rated 34% beginner, 39% intermediate and 27% advanced. Cross-country skiing is catered for by 32 km of trails.

Beaver Creek also has great freestyle facilities which take the form of three terrain parks and a half pipe. Park 101 is for entry-level freestylers, while the Zoom Room is aimed at beginners and intermediates. Moonshine Terrain Park and Pipe is for intermediate and expert skiers and riders and features a halfpipe, tables, hips, spines, rails and logslides. There is also a superpipe available for those brave enough.

Convenience is the name of the game when it comes to accommodation, shopping and dining. Some examples of restaurants include Beano’s Cabin, Spruce Saddle, Zach’s Cabin and Allie’s Cabin. The resort features heated walkways, outdoor escalators, a number of ski shops which dot the area so you never have far to go and a variety of accommodation. Of course the resort also offers a great variety of lessons, programs and fantastic child care facilities.

To top it off, Beaver Creek isn’t strictly a winter resort. In summer visitors can enjoy bungee trampoline, chairlift rides, a climbing wall, fly fishing, hiking, horse-back riding, hot-air ballooning, ice skating, jeep tours, miniature golf, mountain biking, rafting, kayaking and tennis. Don’t wait another second. Start making your plans to visit Beaver Creek Resort today and get ready to enjoy the experience of a lifetime.
