Powder Mountain

Just nineteen miles northeast of Ogden, Powder Mountain is a great resort to visit during the winter season. With great views, impressive trails and friendly staff, Powder Mountain has everything you could want from a winter destination. Add to this a summit elevation of 8900 ft, a vertical drop of 2005 ft and 500 inches of annual snowfall and you’d be hard pressed to find something better in this corner of the States.

Powder Mountain is one of Utah‘s bigger resorts. It features 86 trails spread out over 5500 acres of great terrain. The trails are accessed by seven well-positioned lifts which are kept in good running condition. The ski runs are graded 10% beginner, 50% intermediate and 40% advanced so there is something for all skills levels. In addition to great
ski and snowboarding
trails you can enjoy 10 km of cross-country trails, two terrain parks and a halfpipe. The resort also offers heli-skiing, night skiing and SnowCat skiing options. The mountain’s longest run is a whopping 15 840 ft long!

If you’re just starting out, you’ll be able to hire all necessary skiing and snowboarding equipment at the resort. You’ll also be able to enrol in skiing and snowboarding lessons which are given by trained professionals. Families can make use of the children’s and women’s programs, but should take note that there are no child care facilities available.

There is plenty of lodging available both on the mountain and in nearby areas. The Sundown Inn, the Columbine Inn, the Wolf Creek Resort and the Red Moose Inn often prove to be popular options. Dining can be enjoyed at the Powder Mountain Restaurant, the Hidden Lake Lodge, Sundown Lodge and Powder Keg. There is not much happening at the resort during the summer months but the real estate market is booming here regardless.

If you are visiting between November and April, don’t miss out on this excellent skiing opportunity. Book now and ensure your place at the Powder Mountain Resort.
