Wachusett

Only a short distance from Boston, Rhode Island and Connecticut, Wachusett Mountain is a great ski resort with a lot to offer the average skier and snowboarder. The resort is situated on a mountain with a summit elevation of 2006 ft and it has a vertical drop of 1000 ft. The height of the mountain allows for spectacular scenery, especially on a clear day.

The mountain receives about 100 inches of annual snowfall each winter, which is combined with a 100% snow making capability to ensure excellent skiing conditions all season long. Wachusett’s 22 trails are spread out over an area that measures approximately 105 acres and they are easily accessed by eight different lifts. The trails are graded 30% beginner, 40% intermediate and 30% advanced. Snowboarders will enjoy making use of the resort’s terrain park, which has a half pipe for those who enjoy putting their skills to the test. There is eleven kilometres of cross-country skiing available for those who enjoy the sport and night skiing is available on several of the slopes. Racing and riding are very popular at Wachusett Mountain and you’ll find a number of clinics and sporting events to participate in.

The Wachusett Village Restaurant is a great choice for breakfast, lunch or dinner – in delicious New England fashion. You’ll also find a variety of accommodation available both on the slope and in the nearby surrounding areas. Ski and snowboarding equipment is available for hire at the Wachusett resort and most children enjoy the ever-popular Polar Kids Children’s Programs. In summer the resort stays open and it hosts a music festival, a children’s festival and provides a great get-away from the tension and stress of a modern, fast-paced life.
