A convention is a formal meeting of delegates and members of skiing associations and of the skiing industry. Conventions may be arranged to discuss specific topics such as industry developments and achievements. Aside from presentations and talks, conventions may also organize social activities for members to interact.

The 2006 Far West Ski Association Convention is to be held from 8 to 11 June 2006. This annual convention features the following activities: A silent auction where individuals can purchase ski trips in Europe and North America for fantastically low prices. A Travel expo will give delegates the chance to meet travel and resort representatives. Social events will be on offer such as a pub crawl, golf and tennis tournaments. Ski celebrities and industry representatives will be available to chat to. The convention seminars will discuss topics such involved in ski club operations. An Awards Banquet and Dance will be held at the convention to award outstanding service. This convention is a wonderful opportunity for all in the Ski industry.
