The varied terrain featuring a massive bowl, challenging bump runs, impressive cruisers and gentle beginner slopes is shrouded in an average of 185 inches of snow. Add to that the snowmaking capabilities and Ski Apache is the ideal ski destination. Whether you are just starting or are an experienced skier you will have stacks of fun on the trails which are rated 20% beginner, 35% intermediate and 45% advanced. Snowboarders are welcome on all the slopes and can heat it up a bit at the Boneyard Terrain Park with rails, boxes and jumps. Grab your ticket and hop onto one of the 11 ski lifts to be transported into this snow sport wonderland. In fact, Ski Apache is home to the only gondola in New Mexico.

It isn’t difficult to picture yourself gliding down the glistening white slopes of Ski Apache. Or standing at Apache bowl, looking out at the awe-inspiring landscape, even spotting the White Sands National Monument. After you’ve skied Ski Apache, you’ll be coming back for more.

Ski Apache’s lodge has been renovated recently and caters for all your needs. The welcoming ambiance makes you feel right at home. At the lodge you will find a ski shop, equipment rental store, the ski school and several dining options. Snack bars and burger stands are located throughout the resort, so fill up at one of these great spots: Eagle Café, The Daily Grind, The Spirit Bar, Arrowheads Pasta Express or The Dawg House. Although there is no mountainside lodging at Ski Apache there is a large selection of accommodation in Ruidoso.

New Mexico’s Ski Apache is a year-round vacation escape. During the summer months visitors can take part in scenic gondola rides, disc golf, hiking and photography.
