Argentina Resorts:

The Catedral Mountain gets its name from the resemblance of its peaks to the towers of a Gothic style temple. It is the largest ski vacation resort in South America with more than 5,000 acres of terrain for skiers and riders of all levels of skill. All styles of skiing, including off-piste, are possible here. Advanced skiers will delight in the challenges offered by the cruisers, moguls and unmarked trails. Freestyle skiers and snowboarders can enjoy an area specially designed with bumps and rails. Cerro Catedral continually updates its facilities so visitors can enjoy the most advanced skiing vacation. Plenty of accommodation is available at Catedral and Bariloche.

Las Lenas near the capital city of Mendoza is the highest vacation resort in the country. It offers matchless snow quality, downhill ski runs for all levels, Nordic skiing and unbeatable areas for off-piste skiing. A 1,200-meter vertical drop between the 3,430-meter-high summit and the 2,240-meter-high base creates a paradise for extreme skiing and heli-skiing. It has a slalom stadium, plenty of options for beginners and boasts of one of the longest runs for intermediate level skiers in the world. There are plenty of hotels to suit all budgets. The elegant Picis Hotel is the hub of all the activities in the charming resort town. One can rent an apartment; opt for time share or budget hotels as well.

La Hoya offers the longest skiing season from early June. The orientation of mountain and resort ensures fresh snow all year round. Excellent facilities for Alpine and Nordic skiing and snowboarding suitable for beginners, advanced, expert skiers and competition participants make it a popular vacation destination. It also offers a special area for randoneé skiing, a circuit for snowmobiles and spectacular off-piste areas with deep snow.
