Suicide Six

Suicide Six is perhaps best known for the seasoned dare-devil’s only ‘Face’. However, the resort is much more than this and the name certainly shouldn’t put you off it. Suicide Six is a great family resort with a mid-sized ski area which caters to a variety of levels. It is situated in the Green Mountains and surrounded by the Ottauquechee River in Woodstock.

The ski area includes 23 different trails spread out over 100 acres of land. Of these, 30% are designated for beginner skiers, 40% caters to intermediate skiers and 30% are for more advanced skiers. The trails are accessible by three strategically placed lifts. For snowboarders there is a half pipe but no terrain park. Cross-country skiers will find 60 km of great cross-country terrain just waiting to be explored. The park has 100 inches of annual snowfall and any lack of snow is made up with a 60% snowmaking capability. Other services include a sales and repair shop, equipment rental, a ski school and a cafeteria.

All cross-country skiing can be started at the Woodstock Ski Touring Center. One of the country’s top cross-country skiing destinations, all the picturesque trails found here surround the little village of Woodstock. All 60 km are mapped and groomed and you will find that the centre offers guided tours, instruction, rental, repairs, restaurants and accommodation.

Suicide Six has a summit elevation of 1200 ft and a 650 ft vertical drop. It is open for winter activities between December and March and has nearby accommodation, great facilities and fun family activities. Book your stay at Suicide Six and enjoy a great winter vacation!
