Mountain High

With a reputation for being the fastest-growing ski area in Southern California, Mountain High Resort is a very popular winter destination amongst skiing and snowboarding enthusiasts. Situated in the midst of a cluster of ski resorts, Mountain High is only a 75-minute drive from Los Angeles. The resort features two different mountains, a variety of trails and an array of restaurants, shops and services.

Mountain High features a vertical drop of 1601 ft and a 8199 ft summit. In an area covering 290 acres of ski-able land, there are roughly 47 runs, 10 chair lifts and 2 surface lifts. 25% of the trails are graded for beginners, 35% are for intermediate skiers and 40% should only be tackled by experienced skiers. In addition to these trails, there are 16 kilometres of cross-country paths to be enjoyed, 2 halfpipes and 5 terrain parks. Certainly there is no shortage of great snow-orientated activities to be enjoyed at Mountain High – and the facilities continue to grow bigger and better each year! Add to this the youthful vibe and the many shops, services and restaurants available, you’ll quickly understand why Mountain high has earned such a good reputation.

When the ski runs close and a starry blanket envelopes the night sky, there are 7 restaurants and 2 bars where you can relax, unwind and refuel. For those of us who have never skied before or even if you just want to improve your existing skills, there are ski schools available to help you out. Lodging comes in the form of hotels, motels cabins and B&B’s and equipment can be brought from home or rented. Either way you are in for a real treat when visiting Mountain High.
