Wolf Mountain - Utah

Formerly known as the Nordic Valley Ski Resort, Wolf Mountain is situated just 15 miles outside of Ogden. It has a reputation for being a great community resort and offers some of the most affordable skiing and boarding available in the state. What’s more, it has great terrain for beginners which is commonly combined with some of the best teaching available in Utah. Wolf Mountain is a great place for both more advanced skiers and for families.

Wolf Mountain was designed to offer the best of the slopes combined with the most spectacular vistas possible. You can ride up any one of the three ski lifts and enjoy the view as you do. Once you find the start of your trail, you can pause for a moment to enjoy the view and the fresh air. The lifts are well positioned so that skiers and boarders of all levels can use the same lift. This means that even if your friends are better skiers than you are, you can still enjoy this aspect of the slopes together. Wolf Mountain has 16 trails in a 100-acre area. The trails are graded 20% beginner, 50% intermediate and 30% expert.

If you enjoy trying other things, there are three kilometres of cross-country trails, the best night skiing in Utah and a great terrain park to try. You can take your snowboard virtually anywhere in the resort and get creative on runs and in the terrain park. If you forgot some of your equipment at home, the resort has a skiing and snowboard rental shop as well as a ski shop. The resort also has a new guest bathroom, learning centre and snack bar.

Wolf Mountain has a summit elevation of 6500 ft and a vertical drop of 1000 ft. It sees 350 inches of snow which is combined with a 60% snowmaking capability to keep the trails well covered. There is no child care but there are plenty of children’s and women’s programs for family groups to enjoy. The resort also has great dining, lodging and a variety of family activities to enjoy near the mountain. These may include watersports, horseback riding, hiking and mountain biking during the summer months.

Wolf Mountain, Eden, is open for winter activities between December and Mid-March each year. Book your stay at this top-notch family resort now!
