Park City

Just 37 miles from the Salt Lake City International Airport, you’ll find Utah’s biggest ski resort. The Park City Mountain Resort can be found in the heart of the Wasatch Mountains and it offers an impressive 3 300 acres of great ski trails. With 100 different trails to choose from, a variety of terrain and four terrain parks, you’ll be hard-pressed to find something to complain about here.

Park City is situated at an elevation of 6 900 ft. The mountain itself has a summit elevation of 10 000 ft, so there is a vertical drop of 3 100 ft. There are 18 beginner trails, 44 intermediate trails and 38 advanced trails for skiers and snowboarders to choose from. These are easily accessed by fourteen different lifts. Freestylers generally choose to spend most of their time enjoying the four terrain parks, the superpipe, the halfpipe and the jib park. The mountain receives roughly 350 inches of annual snowfall – but in case that isn’t enough, the resort has recently installed a brilliant snowmaking system to keep the slopes well coated.

Another great feature of the resort is that it offers night skiing seven days a week during peak season. The slopes lighted are ‘Payday’ for the more intermediate and advanced skiers, and ‘First Time’ for beginners. There are lessons for skiers and snowboarders and children’s and women’s programs for family groups. You can hire skis but if you prefer boarding you’d better bring your own equipment.

When you’re not skiing, you’ll find plenty of great facilities to enjoy at the resort. Legend’s Bar & Grill and Kristi’s Coffee Café are two great places to quench your thirst and satisfy your appetite. You can also enjoy sleigh rides, dog sledding, heli skiing, hot air ballooning, ice skating, ski jumping, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, snowcat skiing, winter fly fishing and cross-country skiing in the surrounding areas.

During summer, Park City takes on a whole new identity. The snow gives way to beautifully grass slopes dotted with picturesque pines and beautiful waterways. In this fresh-air environment you can enjoy zip-rides, alpine slides, alpine coasters, wall climbing, hiking, mountain biking, legacy launcher, a human maze, miniature golf, diggler scooters and horseback riding.

Park City Mountain Resort is built on the old mining town and it has a great history to discover too. Whether you’re visiting in winter or summer, book now and make sure that your place at the resort is firmly fixed long before you arrive.
