Lookout Pass has been around since 1935 and has been the favorite snow skiing resort for families from in Northern Idaho and Western Montana. For over sixty years the resort has provided a Free Ski School for Children where kids between six and seventeen are taught skiing every Saturday morning from January through March. Tots between three and six can enjoy supervised snow play, basic skills development, fun and hot chocolate. Prove it is your birthday and you are gifted a complimentary ski lift pass for the day!

Snowboarders will freak out in the”B-52″ and “Front Side” Terrain Parks complete with huge launches, rails, banks, and a 1,111 foot long natural quarter-pipe. Three acres of additional terrain in the new Last Chance glades will open for this winter and there are five new runs on the north aspect of the mountain being developed. The new Northstar lift pod will offer a 1,000′ vertical drop with four advanced runs and one intermediate run. The resort maximizes early and late season terrain availability all across the mountain.

The lodge at the base offers meals and a retail shop on the main level with a new full service sports bar and lounge called the Loft Pub & Grub above. Overnight parking is permitted in the Lookout Pass parking area for ‘self contained’ RV vehicles. Though there is no accommodation at Lookout Pass, vacationers can stay at nearby Historic Wallace, ideally located for skiers or boarders for either Lookout Pass Ski Area or Silver Mountain.
