The young at heart can swing at the local discos while those with more sedate tastes can enjoy concerts and folklore evenings. “Buttnmandln” in the first week of December when straw-clad figures ringing cowbells run through town and “Xmas & New Years Shooting” are major attractions at Berchtesgaden.

The ski vacation resort also offers snowboarding, tobogganing, luge, bobsleigh and curling as alternatives to skiing.
