Val Gardena

Val Gardena in Italy is considered to be one of the leading ski vacation resorts in the world, comparable with Vail Resorts in America, Bariloche in Argentina, and Queenstown in New Zealand. Snowboarding is very popular at Val Gardena and resort officials are also constructing a new halfpipe and a snow tubing hill at Plan de Gralba. ne of the highlights of the winter events calendar at Val Gardena ski and snowboard resort is its traditional Alpine skiing World Cup that will take place over two days in the middle of December. This will be mainly for men’s speed events. Another popular attraction that is eagerly awaited by regulars to Val Gardena is their annual winter carnival in February.

Val Gardena has installed three new high speed detachable chairlifts to replace some of the older lifts. Each of the new Paradiso Goldknopf-Seiser Alm chairs will be a high speed six pack, replacing an existing fixed grip double chair lift.
