The Summit

Situated in the midst of the Mt Baker-Snoqualmie and Wenatchee National Forests, The Summit at Snoqualmie is one of Washington State’s ultimate ski resorts. The ski resort is consists of four main ski-able areas – Alpental, Summit West, Summit East and Summit Central. The Summit enjoys roughly 405 inches of snowfall each year and has plenty of facilities and services to cater to even the most demanding family.

The most varied terrain can be found at Alpental – which has terrain suitable for beginners through to experts. It also has 750 acres of back-country skiing for those who are passionate about the sport. Summit West is great for beginners and learners and offers well-groomed slopes, a good learning environment, a terrain park and a half pipe as well as snow tubing. Summit Central caters for a number of various levels, while offering varied terrain, cross-country skiing, a childcare centre and snow tubing. Summit East is known for its more than 1,000 ft continuous vertical drop. All in all this adds up to 96 different alpine trails, two terrain parks, a super pipe, a half pipe, 55 kilometres of cross country trails and 30 different lifts. The trails are graded 15% beginner, 42% intermediate, 16% advanced and 27% expert. There are also night-skiing facilities available and snowboarding is widely permitted. If you can’t find something to do here, you must be impossible to please!

The 2,400 ft vertical drop from a 5,400 summit elevation provides hours of trails and runs to explore. When you need to refuel, you can stop in at The Timberwolf Pub, The Big Air Barbecue, Webb’s Wireless, Hot Shotz, Whiskey Petes, Backcountry Kitchen or Old Milwaukee Lodge – to name a few. You’ll also find plenty of lodging available both on the mountain and the nearby surrounding areas. Other facilities include ski and snowboarding instruction, ski equipment rental, equipment shops, women’s programs, children’s programs and childcare.
